Peter Susner and his PhD students receive awards at NAFIPS 2022

The article “Generating Interval Type-2 Fuzzy Inputs from Smoothed Data for Fuzzy Rule-Based Systems”, by Professor Peter Sussner and his PhD student in Applied Mathematics, Tiago da Silva Alencar, was awarded the “Best Paper Award” in the 2022 edition of the North American Fuzzy Information Processing Society congress (NAFIPS 2022). Furthermore, the article “Subsethood Measures on a Bounded Lattice of Continuous Fuzzy Numbers with an Application in Approximate Reasoning”, by Peter Sussner and Roberto Andres Pereira Torres, also a doctoral student in applied mathematics, was awarded the “Outstanding Paper Awards” at the same congress.
