Nussenzveig Lopes and&nbsp;Milton C. Lopes Filho<\/em> will take place between <strong>23rd and 27th October 2023 <\/strong>at&nbsp;Unicamp, Campinas, Brazil. In this conference, we will celebrate the 60th birthdays of Helena J.&nbsp;Nussenzveig Lopes and Milton C. Lopes Filho focusing on the major&nbsp;contributions of their work in the field of mathematical modeling and&nbsp;rigorous analysis of fluid dynamics problems, particularly&nbsp;incompressible flows with little regularity (non-smooth) and turbulent&nbsp;flows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is the sixth edition in a series of workshops aimed at fostering collaboration among the growing community of researchers working in Brazil on mathematical fluid dynamics, in particular on the incompressible Navier-Stokes and Euler equations, as well as stimulating further collaboration with the international community. The first and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www2.im.ufrj.br\/~hlopes\/WFEDP3\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">third<\/a> editions took place at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ime.unicamp.br\/\" target=\"_blank\">Universidade Estadual de Campinas (Unicamp),<\/a> on August 16-17, 2007 and June 27 -July 1, 2011, respectively; the second and <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/impa.br\/sobre\/memoria\/reunioes-cientificas\/iv-workshop-em-fluidos-e-edp\/\" target=\"_blank\">fourth<\/a> editions were held at Rio de Janeiro, at the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.im.ufrj.br\/index.php\/pt\/\" target=\"_blank\">Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ)<\/a>, on August 13-15, 2008 and at <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/impa.br\/en_US\/\" target=\"_blank\">Instituto de Matem\u00e1tica Pura e Aplicada (IMPA) <\/a>on May 26 \u2013 30, 2014, and the <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ime.unicamp.br\/~vwfpde\" target=\"_blank\">fifth<\/a> edition was held remotely due to the coronavirus pandemic from<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>September 20 &#8211; October 1, 2021.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ime.unicamp.br\/~viwfpde\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Final-cartaz-VIWFPDE-2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Poster<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"256\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ime.unicamp.br\/~viwfpde\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/patrocinio-7-1024x256.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-496\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ime.unicamp.br\/~viwfpde\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/patrocinio-7-1024x256.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.ime.unicamp.br\/~viwfpde\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/patrocinio-7-300x75.png 300w, https:\/\/www.ime.unicamp.br\/~viwfpde\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/patrocinio-7-768x192.png 768w, https:\/\/www.ime.unicamp.br\/~viwfpde\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/patrocinio-7-1536x384.png 1536w, https:\/\/www.ime.unicamp.br\/~viwfpde\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/patrocinio-7.png 2000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The VI Workshop on Fluids and PDE &#8211; Celebrating the 60th birthdays of Helena J.
