My research interests are related to quantum gravity. I am specially interested in four topics: in the resolution of naked singularities through the study of waves in a singular classical background; in vacuum fluctuations and the small scale structure of spacetime; in the quantum description of cosmology, where the role of time is performed by a parameter related to the evolution of matter filling the universe; in topological defects and string theory. I am also interest in quantum mechanics on submanifolds embedded in the Euclidean spacetime.
